◆ Our verdict

The Victrola Journey is a budget-friendly, no-frills turntable aimed at casual listeners and newcomers to vinyl rather than audiophiles. Its portability, retro suitcase design, and Bluetooth output make it a fun, convenient way to spin records around the house or take on the go, but the built-in speakers and lightweight tonearm mean serious collectors will want to pair it with external speakers and treat their records gently. For the price, it's a solid entry-level option, not a long-term audiophile investment.

Great starter turntable

Bought this for my daughter who wanted to get into vinyl. It's easy to use and the Bluetooth streaming to our soundbar makes a huge difference in sound quality compared to the built-in speakers alone.

Good for the price, but be careful with your records

The suitcase design is adorable and it works fine, but I noticed some extra surface noise on my older records. I'd recommend upgrading the stylus if you plan to use it often.

Perfect for apartment living

I don't have room for a big setup, so this portable turntable was ideal. Connected it to my Bluetooth speaker and it sounds way better than I expected for the price.

Speakers are weak

The built-in speakers are tinny and lack bass. Once I hooked it up to an external speaker via the aux out, it became much more enjoyable, but out of the box it's underwhelming.

Fun retro vibe

Love the look and portability. It's not going to replace a high-end turntable, but for casual listening and parties, it does the job nicely.
